Target area

The IDEAS project will have a geographical scope that covers the entire CBA . Communication activities will be implemented in selected parts of the CBA, as determined by the Communication Strategy. The specific locations of the events will be chosen based on the targeted audience, such as highly educated professionals and farmers.

However, the events will include at least two smaller urban centers with significant primary production in each country. Training sessions will take place in Thessaloniki, Gevgelija, and Skopje, with field trips to rural locations within the CBA (PB2).

It is important to note that while the outputs of the project are expected to be more localized and centered around Gevgelija and Thessaloniki, the results and the impacts of the project are expected to cover a wider area.

Similarly, the impact of the project is expected to have an even broader scope, through the indirect and induced effects. Specifically, the project is anticipated to strengthen and modernize primary production, and become – especially for the case of North Macedonia – a demonstrative project. The LoRa technology, in particular, and smart agriculture, in general, can have beneficial applications in fruit production and viticulture, two notable primary sector activities in the CBA.

Considering these factors, the project aims to make rural areas more attractive and vibrant, leading to their overall development and growth.
